She had promised him that she would not leave and would always stay by his side. She has a family of five back in Japan whom she misses a lot which is why she does not talk about them much as thinking about them makes her sad. She has a brother older than her by two years , her laid back mother whom her brother resembles in attitude, her father who works as a writer, and a sweet grandfather whose head is always "up in the clouds". Her family used to have a dog but it died when she was ten years old. Her whole family was too devastated about its death that they couldn't bear to rear another animal again.
